TRAMA

Masetto Tusco è l’unico testimone della lunga autocolonna che porta i reali d’Italia sulla banchina del porto di Ortona. Tutto è pronto per la fuga.

Il geniere tedesco Waldo Rich discute con il suo camerata e compagno Otmar Feld che è impaziente di dare battaglia, al contrario di lui che non ha mai voluto questa guerra, ma nell’aria c’è odore di polvere e morte.

I signori Cavani aiutano un disertore a fuggire e si preparano a lasciare la città davanti alla battaglia imminente. La loro figlia Laura non vuole partire, è innamorata di Masetto. Sa già che lui resterà, ma farà di tutto per salvare quell’amore.

Il caporale canadese Stuart Dely avanza con la sua squadra. Insieme al soldato David Morel è pronto a combattere a Ortona, sognando di raggiungere presto Roma.

Nuvole cariche di pioggia avanzano verso il mare, il sole rosso del mattino le illumina con il colore del sangue.

Tra amori, dolori, macerie, e rancori… è la storia che dovrà infine scrivere la sua verità!

ABSTRACT  

The young boy named Masetto Tusco is the only witness of the long convoy going with the Italian Royal family to the quay of the Ortona harbour. 

Everything is ready for the escape. 

The German sapper Waldo Rich talks to his camrade Otmar Feld who is anxious for doing battle, on the other hand Waldo never wanted this war, but there is dust and death odour in the air. 

The Cavani family helps a deserter to escape and get ready to leave the town because of the forthcoming battle. Their daughter Laura doesn't want to leave, she is in love with Masetto. She just knows he will remain but she will do anything to save that loved one. 

The Canadian corporal Stuart Dely advances with his squad. He's ready to fight in Ortona together with soldier David Morel, dreaming of arriving at Rome soon. 

Storm and rain clouds go forward the sea, the red sunshine morning makes light them up as a bloody colour. 

It's history that should write its truth...among loves, torments, ruins and grapes of wrath.
